A surreal bookcase with severed head

Self Assembly photomontage by Phil Lancaster

A small wooden bookcase comprising of 3 shelves and a cupboard with a mirrored door stands in a surreal landscape resembling the Grand Canyon. In the top shelf sits a severed foot, beneath it a severed hand and in the lower shelf, a severed head with no mouth and three pairs of wide-open blue eyes. A coat stand stands in front of the shelves with a black bowler hat, an umbrella and tweed jacket hanging on it. From the sleeve of the jacket hangs a hand. The whole composition is dominated by a cloudy sky and a huge blue moon in the top right corner.
