Thursday 23rd July was the main event for our New York visit. Sue had been invited by Stacey Hadash, Managing Director of Global Capital Markets, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, to give the keynote speech at the annual Global Women’s Conference. Never in a million years did I think that my job in the UK disability arts scene would take me to a trading floor of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, just off Times Square in New York City. On Friday 3rd July at Colston Hall in Bristol the British Paraorchestra rounded off the Fast Forward music festival with an impressive concert.  By way of introduction the Paraorchestra's founder and conductor Charles Hazlewood announced that Bristol is to be the new home of the orchestra to a roar of appreciation from the audience.
