Neo-natal (pencil drawing 1990)

Neo-natal (pencil drawing 1990)

A baby is lying on a soft white surface. She is turned toward us with her head towards the left of frame. Her eyes are tightly closed, her left hand rests upturned on the upper side of her face; her right hand is in her mouth. A thin tube is inserted in her lower nostril. She is wearing a tiny jacket-like garment buttoned on her chest, opening to show her outspread legs. Two bands attach the lower leg to a splint. The drawing retains markings indicating the baby’s movement from other positions.
